Entrevistas sobre gestão de produtos web do Brasil

Inspirado por comentários feitos em outro post, fiz uma pesquisa (que não se pretende completa ou conclusiva, mas uma amostra) sobre Gestores de Produto no mercado de TI brasileiro.

Passo 1: busquei no LinkedIn, rede de contatos conhecida por profissionais corporativos e de TI, tanto brasileiros como do exterior (especialmente do Vale do Silício) e que agora lançou uma interface traduzida para o português. Encontrei 73 perfis de profissionais contendo as palavras “gestor gerente produto” no espaço “Brazil”.

Passo 2: talvez os profissionais tenham esquecido de configurar seu perfil direitinho, ou o LinkedIn tenha falhado, ou eu tenho feito a busca errado, ou ainda esses profissionais não estejam no LinkedIn. Onde mais poderiam estar? Vou rede de contatos nacional Via6 – baseada não em currículos, mas em conteúdo. Encontro 7 resultados na busca por pessoas “gestor de produto”, e algumas não são de web.

Quem sabe, ao invés de gestor, procurar por desenvolvedor (de produto)? Nenhum no Via6, vários resultados no LinkedIn (mas a maioria se define como analista ou especialista, e não na área de produtos). Search #fail.

Passo 3: que tal entrevistar algumas pessoas? Procurei alguns e, como a entrevista com um deles ficou bem grande, achei justo publicar todas na íntegra como documento independente (google doc publicado como webpage).

    Diego,

    Procure por "Product Manager" (em inglês) no Linkedin, mesmo que em nível Brazil, você achará diversos profissionais, inclusive de grandes empresas de tecnologia como IG, Yahoo, Google Microsoft, etc.

    Anyway, acho que você já conseguiu entrevista de três grandes nomes, em termos de produto no Brasil… :)

    Comento agora este post apenas pela dica, vou fazer a leitura dos documentos e uma análise mais crítica, e volto depois para postar.

    obrigado por comentar! como citei no início, esta não foi uma pesquisa completa. significa que ainda está em andamento, publiquei esses depoimentos e "tentativas de busca" como introdução ao assunto e para ver os leitores comentarem essas coisas – fica mais autêntico demonstrar certas coisas.

    estou à disposição também pelo diego@ (domínio do blog) para receber seu depoimento, caso vc trabalhe nessa área ou queira fornecer contato de algum gerente de produto web (para um próximo post).

    ademais, fique à vontade nos comentários – muitas vezes (como esta) eles inspiram posts ;)
    a ideia é não "prendermos" a comunidade de startups web (especialmente os iniciantes) em absolutismos.

    Diego, sua conta não é Premium, então sua busca é limitada a pessoas até 3 graus de separação de você, com a mesma busca eu encontro 177 pessoas.

    As entrevistas estão bem interessantes, e acho que vale seguir as dicas do Marcelo e do Edney para encontrar ainda mais profissionais.

    Acho que pode ajudar a dar mais diversidade (e ampliar o panorama que você já está montando sobre a área) se você procurasse entrevistar também Gerentes de Produto que não tenham vindo necessariamente da área de TI. Digo isso até por experiência pessoal: sou GP e me formei em Publicidade.
