Hytle: de Curitiba ao TechCrunch50

Aconteceu nesta segunda e terça-feira o TechCrunch50, conferência promovida nos Estados Unidos pelo blog TechCrunch, com palestras, apresentação de startups e prêmios. Uma espécie de feira de empresas inovadoras candidatas ao sucesso. A Hytle, de Curitiba, foi a única participante brasileira desta edição do evento.

Hytle= Here you teach and learn everything

O Hytle pretende ser uma comunidade online onde você ensina e aprende de tudo. Usuários podem editar, produzir, publicar e comercializar qualquer tipo de conteúdo educacional (cursos pré-formatados serão revendidos). Já os cursos que não estão em conteúdo online, poderão ser totalmente desenvolvidos e comercializados no próprio site. Pode ser comparado ao Mercado Livre e ao eBay.


Para os fundadores do Hytle, José Rodolpho Bernardoni e Leonardo Lenz, o site é uma possibilidade de fazer o ensino e o conhecimento chegarem a todos os lugares onde se tenha um computador com conexão Internet. Além disso é um local onde estará concentrado todo e qualquer conteúdo educacional. “No Brasil, existem lugares nos quais a tecnologia já chegou, mas o acesso escola e ao conhecimento de forma geral e ampla ainda é muito difícil. O objetivo com o Hytle é fazer com que estas pessoas possam passar o que conhecem e aprender o que ainda não chegava até elas”, defende Bernardoni.

    Parabéns ao Hytle por ter conseguido participar de um evento tão concorrido!
    Será possível conhecer mais um pouco sobre a empresa em Outubro durante as finais do Desafio Brasil 2009 já que a start-up é uma das semi-finalistas.

    Participar do TechCrunch50 foi uma experiencia de grande valia. Fizemos contatos com diversos fundos de investimento e empreendedores.

    O que mais nos chamou atenção foi o fato de empresas que nem tinham seu site lançado, mas que já tinham recebido investimentos de mais de US$ 5MM!!!

    Hoje fomos visitar a Digg… a empresa foi fundada em 2004, com o objetivo de ser um site “cool”, sem expectativa de de gerar lucro, como disse Matt Van Horn, Business Developer, que nos atendeu.

    Até outubro de 2005 já tinha recebido US$ 2,8 MM de investimento, dez/06 US$ 8,5MM, set/08 US$ 28,7MM!!!

    E o mais impressionante: somente ano que vem irá atingir o ponto de equilíbrio!!!

    Leonardo, vocês têm muito para compartilhar com os empreendedores brasileiros quando voltarem! Vão se preparando para as entrevistas, eventos, etc :)
    O Digg é sensacional, foi uma revolução (mesmo que sem querer e sem visar lucros)… mas bem que eles tentaram vender (várias vezes) e (até agora) não conseguiram…rs
